In modern times, not having credit card or debit card payment options can cause significant problems for people with limited time to pay bills or run errands to the city hall. It makes no sense and should be addressed immediately by the city at their next meeting.

Called city hall four times week of November 21. Tommer Construction started work on my street first week of September. Made the street worse. Never finished. Came twice with a sweeper to try and remove the huge amount of rocks left on the street. Threw rocks all over sidewalk and driveway. Never came to clean the rocks from my sidewalk and driveway. City should NOT use tax dollars to pay for this disgusting mess. Not sure why the city and Tommer think it is OK to violate a homeowners property.

Personally I don't feel your police department is knowledgeable of state or federal regulations. I wasn't aware that business and property owners own the city sidewalks. I was informed of this by your Police chief. Serving food and beverages on those public sidewalks also require a permit. I never saw any but to my knowledge doing this on a daily basis along with serving alcoholic beverages requires that space to be a fenced off area and accessible from inside the establishment only since only those over 21 are allowed in a drinking establishment. I may only live here a few months out of the year. What people do in their own time is none of my business. But it is when I feel that personal favors are being handed out by the chief and a few others in the department.

If I were only speaking about the police, I'd give them 5 stars. They haven't always been so good, but they are really turning things around lately. But the 1 star is for the city that bills us for water, sewer, and garbage. They charge too much, they sneak extra onto your bill then stick a late fee on there, and they lie right to your face about your bill. There are many elderly and other low income people living here, and this is just wrong. They get away with it because they know we have no choice but to pay whatever scam they throw our way. As far as I can tell, they don't have to answer to anyone. It's terrible.

Saw a video of a man questioning the illegal tactics of the Soap Lake police, and their actions that followed were despicable. At the end, the one officer called his CONFIDENTIAL INFORMANTS over to the police department to harass the man doing the questioning. It's too bad the officer didn't remember telling the man they were informants. The entire little hole of Soap Lake is going to have those thugs' mugs on every place they can go... with a link to the video and telling everyone exactly who and what those BOYS, who told the man: "take the constitution, and wipe your ass with it" ... are all about.

Watch out for officers in unmarked cars talking to "confidential informants". They're not legally aloud to do so and are not doing what you think they are. Officer Cox in particular has been recording breaking such laws and ran away. Cowards.
