Austin Reid was the associate lawyer I talked to in Gravis Law from the Olympia office. We did a 50-minute phone consultation for $250 that was absolutely invalidating. I understand that lawyers aren't there for emotional support but she was also unhelpful with the legal side of it. She offered zero legal advice, guidance, or direction throughout our phone call, and I had to constantly advocate for myself against all of her discouraging remarks to "pretend the marriage never happened."

I truly hope no one has to ever experience that, especially during such a vulnerable time. I regret allowing this experience deter me from seeking out further legal counsel and speaking with other lawyers for a few weeks. However, I am happy to report that I have found a more professional, assertive, and supportive lawyer to work with through my divorce, one who didn't ask for a $250 payment for a first-time phone consultation. The retainer fee is also quite reasonably priced compared to Gravis Law. I would have gladly paid for GL if their efforts actually amounted the legal costs.

Gravis- specifically Austin Theis and paralegal Chelsea Hammer are phenomenal. They helped me get the protection I needed while pregnant, vulnerable, scared, and leaving a domestic violence situation. They went above and beyond to get me all that I asked for and more. Austin was extremely intelligent and knowledgeable, her interactions with the judge were logical and level-headed. In contrast, she made the opposing council look like the bully he was. 10k down the drain. Won’t say who but I’ll say they forgot key evidence to my case that I was bringing my ex wife to court for and it bounced back at me and now I’m dealing with the repercussions of it. Also, when asked for reimbursement, they informed me they thought it was going to go that way, so it didn’t matter anyway. But the whole reason I took my ex-wife to court was because of this evidence that was never submitted.

I'm sure the people who work here are fine individuals and complete professionals, but I can't help but feel like I got taken for a ride. I paid $200.00 for a consult that basically consisted of a lawyer reading back the worksheet information I provided and not a whole lot else. It just felt misleading because the receptionist made it sound like I was actually getting some service for the money instead of just verbal nothingness. Everyone was nice and polite, but I feel like I got absolutely no value for the money provided.

The people at the olympia olympia office of gravis law are so nice and help full. Kim is a bad*ss in the courtroom. They are on the expensive side but if you are going up against a bitter and spiteful ex they are the way to go! They really care about thier clients and what their client's needs are! I would have given them 5 stars if they were a bit cheeper as I am not a wealthy person but they did wonders on making this process as fair as can be when my ex was literally trying to take everything from me.
