I do not often post reviews. I’m not a complainer. I always try to look for the positive. That may have been a bit of my downfall in this relationship.

Two plus years of excuses and chaos. From the initial meeting we had set plans and expectations. I take responsibility for not cutting ties sooner, but at the same time I can understand and empathize with the excuses that were made. Long story short over that time I paid them thousands for their work, and paid more in IRS late penalties. I can only imagine how much more was lost in business because of the distraction and not knowing my own books.

9 months afterwards and I’m still having to go back find and fix issues with their work. I wish I could just go back and hit an undo button on everything they touched. At least that way I could go through step by step instead of going on a hunt to find the issues.

All that said, it’s not so much that they did anything wrong, although they did and it’s very hard for me to tell the depth of it. It’s more just a complete lack of communication that ultimately gives no confidence in anything they did. So much costly frustration that just wasn’t necessary.

Perhaps my biggest lesson is that there is a big difference between a bookkeeper and an accountant. This company offers bookkeeping services and even says they’ll train you, however that is simply not true and is very poorly executed. In my opinion looking back at it, they’re only goal is to file your taxes (eventually) and get themselves paid.

Unprofessional and should not be doing books. The "mistakes" add up to a lot more than innocent. When they started making hundreds of fake invoices to allocate bad accounting we stopped all services. We had a secondary audit and it was unbelievable what was found.
