Almost 8,000 dollars in now and they won't return calls or texts and blow us off constantly. What do you do when the people you're trusting to help get your child back act like it's their last priority? Call someone else. Because after that first call and 3,500 they will take 1,000 per month to do absolutely NOTHING!

I was divorced in 2019 and had been in litigation on and off with my ex since then. I have used and consulted with many family attorneys (both older and newer firms) throughout the years but on Sept 2021 I really needed one. Whalley Law really stepped in and helped me with my case. I first spoke with Jeffrey and then I worked with Kimberly and David.

The great thing was that they were able to pick up my case and take it to trial with only 30 days (very difficult to do). This isn't ideal for any case and prior to Whalley taking my case about 3 other firms rejected my case due to the time frame (they wanted 3 months time) but Whalley didnt and for that I am grateful. Anyone who has been in litigation will know that the outcome is always unknown but we hope and wish for the best however I am satisfied with the outcome of my case.

I would say litigation is never fun and I would avoid it if necessary but if you need help navigating the court systems Whalley Law is a great firm to consult.

My name is Greg Hansen.

After a prior surgery, I was wheelchair bound pending my recovery. Unfortunately, on January 9th 2014, while traveling in my wheelchair on a local sidewalk, I was hit by a car. This was a particularly stressful time in my life and this made matters compound. As a result, I accumulated many medical bills including an ambulance ride to a hospital, emergency room, attending physician etc. I was left physically and emotionally inept as my three year statute of limitations to file a civil action crept up.

I brought this matter to attention of the Law Office of Jeff Whalley, founder of Whalley Law. I was very grateful that Jeff decided to take my case. He took the time to summarize what would probably take place and answered any and all questions I could come up with. As matters progressed, Jeff's paralegal Erin, worked diligently with me and was always available when Jeff was in court.

Just over a year passed when we had a settlement agreement with the other party, and a check in our hands. My financial recovery was substantially more that I expected and just as important, Jeff and his office is undoubtedly the most honest and trustworthy law office I could ever expect.

Jeff was my divorce lawyer a few years ago. In reflecting on my experience, I feel insulted and deceived by the whole process. I will summarize my experience under two points.

(1) Lack of care:
Jeff never looked out for my interests or wellbeing. His actions showed that he did not care about my outcome in the divorce.

During the divorce mediation, he did not argue on my behalf even though I presented him multiple points of contention:

That my business was unrealistically over-evaluated by the appraiser.
That after divorce, I would be the only one financially supporting my kids until they graduated from college.
That my ex-wife was healthy and capable of working but chose not to work.

Jeff never confronted the other party with these points and they were never factored into the final mediation agreement.

(2) Poor communication
Jeff never clearly and honestly explained the legal proceedings to me. I felt that Jeff intentionally left things vague to lengthen the already difficult process.

Jeff never took initiative to help me prepare for any legal procedures. I was the only one that initiated preparation in anticipation of legal battles. Jeff took a blasé approach to the divorce.

When I realized I needed to renegotiate the terms of divorce, I reached out to Jeff and his office many times to discuss the results of the mediation. Jeff texted me that he was on paternity leave and directed me to talk to his secretary. His secretary never responded to my calls and voice messages.

Ever since the divorce, I have been working 6-7 days a week to ensure that I can fulfil the alimony payments, support my kids, and make ends meet. I took time to write this review in the hopes that others may avoid choosing Jeff as their lawyer.

Had a consultation with Jeff, and his recommendation was to get healthy after having surgery on my ankle from an assualt. After several months have gone by I called back many times to get a run around. Finally after I spoke to someone other than Jeff, they would not help me with my case with no explanation. I could have sought other legal advice months ago but trusted Whalley law. I would not recommend this law firm.
