The Pickle Barn is a premier facility and a pickleball lovers dream. I have played in many indoor facilities but this one is by far my favorite. My only regret is that I live 2 hrs away! They have professional floors and nets with amazing lighting so you can see clearly at any time of day. My family and I were visiting Whidbey Island over the weekend and stumbled upon this gem. Our group enjoyed our time playing pickleball here. We were even able to meet Paul the owner in person. He was so down to earth and made us feel right at home. If you’re looking for a place to grow your skills, or even just a community to have fun with, this is the place to be. Looking forward to the next time we can come here again.

The Pickle Barn is a fantastic facility. Lots of margin on base line and side court. Court surface is top quality, The benches and baskets to put your personal belongings, super nice bathroom, drinking fountain, water bottle filler, these guys went above and beyond!!
Highly recommend the Pickle Barn in Freeland on Whidbey island. We’ll be back even if we’re not going to the Island for any other reason!!!

Wonderful place to play PB! I am new to the game and have felt welcomed and very supported in learning and improving. Paul and Abi are wonderful hosts, teachers, and cheerleaders! The Honcho league provides a fun, safe opportunity for competitive play. I have played at other indoor courts, but the Barn’s courts are great — bright lights, clean lines, nice surface.

I went to an all levels drop in and had a ton of fun. The owners and others were really patient and encouraging with the beginners. I've never really been 'sporty' so wasn't sure what to expect but I'm definitely coming back and bringing friends!

I should add that this is perfect if you work during the week or are just visiting for the weekend. Classes are on the weekend and all levels drop in on both Saturday and Sunday. You have to preregister, so you are guaranteed to play. Yes it costs more but the time you save is priceless.

The facility is gorgeous, clean, and safe, with plenty of parking.

The Pickle Barn is awesome!! Spent the weekend on Whidbey and played here twice. Perfect balance of great people and great competition, for all skill levels. The owners, Paul and Abi, were very friendly and accommodating! Thank you both!

What a great place to play pickleball! The staff is incredibly kind. Facilities are exceptionally clean. I love that they had speakers available so that my group could play music. We had a great time. Will definitely return on my next visit to Whidbey Island.

Wonderful facility w good competitive players (a few advanced players are a bit too competitive at times and will intimidate weaker/intermediate players but the schedule is well organized and everyone can find their comfortable level of play … all levels drop in not recommended imo).

Co-owner Paul is very helpful AND fun to play with.

It’s not cheap, but you get what you pay for.

Picklebarn has been a wonderful place to learn and play Pickleball. Their two indoor courts are beautiful and make it so easy to play rain or shine. The owners of Picklebarn are wonderful people whose love of the game is contagious.
