As the wife of the accused, I knew my husband was being railroaded. Sean knew it too. He wasn’t the person his command was making him out to be in the baseless charges. Every new statement made was contradictory and the way the investigation was handled was subpar at best. Sean was confident that he had a strong defense against the accusations throughout the entire process. On the day of, I sat in that courtroom in awe of his expertise and capability in redirecting anything, I mean anything, the government decided to throw around. His extensive experience with military law spoke volumes in that courtroom. He had the panel right where he wanted in connecting the immense amount of reasonable doubt that plagued this case. In cross examinations, he knew the questions to ask and the answers he needed. I can hardly even put into words how carefully crafted his closing argument was. It really was immaculate. He reiterated every inconsistency, drew attention to important details using logic and reason, and humanized my husband by making him more than words on a page. A unanimous not guilty, full acquittal of all charges and specifications was the end result. Fair and just. Where to begin? So far I would’ve known anything about my situation without this firm. I have been serving for 21 years. The accusations from CID have left me in a dark place. I am a current active duty E-4 in the Navy and my command attempted to throw the book at me for something I did not do. This was all based on hearsay. No facts. No evidence. It boiled down to he said/ she said. Long story short, I was accused of harassment, bullying, indecent language, and hostile work environment to which I was being sent to Battalion level NJP. As soon as I was told this information, I went to Google, found Sean Mangan, and gave him a call. During his free consultation, I could tell he was someone who would get things done. This process took an entire year because of all the government delays, set backs, and shady tactics. Sean never wavered. On the day of my Court Martial, as nervous as I was, standing next to Sean eased my worries. He was so professional, well prepared, ready to object to any falsities the government had up their sleeves, spoke so concisely and matter of factly in a way that was extremely comforting to me, as the accused. He’s also funny. I think his slight humorous jokes played into this as well. During the four long days, Sean was on top of it. He listened carefully, tore apart the witnesses' stories, created plenty of reasonable doubt, and overall uncovered the truth to the panel that these accusations had no merit. This was the best decision I could have made and was absolutely worth every dime to hire Sean. If you’re on the fence, don’t be. Sean took care of me and my family by doing his due diligence which lead to a full acquittal of all charges and specifications.
