Graduation is much too long. Speak faster. I gave 1 star for each graduate I knew. Also it's very good and the chairs are uncomfortable.

I attended this school in the late 80's and both my sons graduated from here in the last few years. No school is perfect, but I appreciate the WWU staff and their commitment to students here. I have been pleased with our family's positive experiences at this university!

Excellent private 4 year liberal arts university with masters degree offerings. Low faculty to student ratio, wide range of programs available. Gorgeous gem of a campus, very well maintained. Beautiful old trees and also lovely flowers most of the year. Many music presentations open to the public. Nice cafeteria with all vegetarian and vegan menu.

Expensive! Wealthy family is a must!
Good education but you will pay top dollar for it. I am a born and raised local student, in my 30s. I had a hard time feeling comfortable at this school because of the age and wealth gap between myself and the other students. It's definitely aimed at catering to the younger, rich familied students.
Being an adult and going to school was impossible at WWU. Which caused me to have to abandon my dreams of being my BA here. When scheduling for my classes I was in scheduled to be in class all day without other options. When I asked my counselor when I was supposed to be able to work to support myself, ie: pay my bills for living expenses, ect, the response was" oh that's a bad idea, you shouldn't work and won't have time to"! Apparently you have to come from money in order to succeed here!

The faculty is very dedicated. I found the academic environment to be, for the most part, inclusive and professional. There has been a fair amount of tension and drama between the administration and the student body in recent years due to some new (or newly enforced) social policies that some felt were draconian or exclusionary. It is definitely not a research university, few of the faculty publish on a regular basis, but the small class sizes mean you get a lot of personal interaction with your instructors and can often tailor your education to meet your goals. The important thing to remember about WWU is that it is a religious school, and its culture is conservative Adventism. Students are expected to adhere to a fairly conservative lifestyle that can feel stifling to anyone coming in from outside the Adventist school system, like I did. This is still the kind of school where a student attempt to start a GSA met with some pretty vitriolic backlash. It can be a wonderful place, but you need to understand what you're buying into before you sign up, and be prepared to have to stand up for some things you might take for granted on the outside. On the positive side, the campus is walkable and cute, and the small-town atmosphere is really endearing. It's easy to know all the local business owners and most of the faculty on a first-name basis before you leave.

I saw they were trying to claim they were cheaper than a community college on their website. They even made a video.

This is very predatory toward high school seniors without personal financial education. Go ahead and advertise yourself as a great school but do not take advantage of people trying to get a fresh start in life.

If you are a high school senior, do not take a word on that page as science.

It assumes the following:
- You get grants from Walla Walla
- You get an achievement scholarship and maintain good grades for the next four years. If something goes south? You have a bad quarter with tough classes? Sorry friend, your scholarship is GONE.
