I simply asked a question and she came off extremely rude saying she won't say anything without consultation it's 150 dollars for her to even speak. It was one simple question, kindness goes a long way. Especially when people are calling a lawyer you expect them to be nice since your in a stressful situation . Call someone else , put this out of business.

When requested to obtain and forward required documents and evidence for a case, Matthew Roberts told his client to “do it yourself”.

Roberts also refused to change a hearing date even after the client’s long-term hospitalization, contacting the court without his client’s consent or authorization and then emailing the client in an inappropriate and unprofessional manner.

Roberts has indicated he has no intention of performing his duty as a defence attorney and is currently under investigation by the VA Bar Association.

Roberts also has no idea how to use technology and demands clients come to his office to pickup discovery, even if they are disabled, without transportation, and live over 150 miles away.

Hire Matthew Roberts at your peril!

Ms Roberts is a very skilled and no nonsense lawyer. She really shines in the court room and I think she is one of the best lawyers i have ever witnessed in the court room. I overheard several people call her by her nickname, and let me tell you she will live up to it, witch is "wolverine" highly recommend her shes the best.

Ms. Roberts handled a case involving a family member. Her approach was no nonsense and to the point. Although I wouldn't describe her as a hand-holder, she communicated upfront about how the process would go and was consistent with her handling of the case. Where she truly shone was her in-court demeanor and expertise. She was fully prepared, interacted smoothly with all the key players and her competency/performance in the court room was outstanding. I recommend her highly.

Run, go hire a different lawyer or immediately request a New GAL. No one to make a complaint to other than the BAR and that is a joke. She makes things harder she gets her files mixed up. (Sent personal details of other cases out in an email) Does not listen... does not put the kids first. Does not listen to the kids. Or even acknowledge evidence (I'm sure there was also a conflict of interest) Not sure how she is a lawyer with how smart she is........ either way A 7/8 HOUR CLASS TO BE A GAL IS ALSO A JOKE! the system is broken period. Gotta be careful ,corrupted lawyers are everywhere. So my warning for you on this one.

She should not be a lawyer at all. She was disconnected mean and cold. She had me crying on the first consultation with her she had me feeling like I was a criminal. I work I’m educated. I have a masters degree. But she talked to me like I was someone who was beneath her. She didn’t fight for me she didn’t even talk to me with respect. There is no reason why I should have felt like I was making my own decisions. I asked her questions she gave no answers. I wouldn't suggest anyone waste their time and/or money on her service ever. I would never suggest have her represent anyone. I can bet there are many others who were treated in the same manner as I was. If I knew the steps in which to help in getting her disbarred I would.

She got me a much better result than I expected for sure, she definitely has a good working relationship with the CA. Communicates well and tonthe point.
She is strictly business, not gonna hold your hand.
