Kevin, Sachin & PJI Law were great to work with. I worked primarily with Kevin and he was very responsive and quick with the work, even when I added additional agreements. They helped me with an acquisition agreement, NDA & Bill of Sale. I was very pleased with his work and the ease of preparing the agreements. I think it was very reasonable as well. I will definitely look to PJI Law again in the future.

PJI Law is an amazing law firm. My uncle sought their services and was provided with a very comprehensive Will with all the necessary and important ancillaries. They graciously helped with a legal matter when he needed to be placed in hospice care. When he passed away, I retained the firm to help me with his estate. I received prompt and accurate assistance with the paperwork and all questions I had about what to do. Even after the estate was settled and the case was closed, another issue arose, and I contacted the firm. I was given a complimentary call, and the attorney wrote a detailed letter and completed more paperwork as required for the issue. They could not be more accommodating, efficient, caring, and KIND. If you are lucky enough to live in Virginia, I highly recommend PJI Law.

I met with PJI Law a while ago because of an estate situation with my aunt, that has been greatly and unnecessarily exacerbated by my cousin (not her child). The person with whom I spoke that day ($450) was very nice and helpful. My aunt didn't leave much so when my lawyer's cousin served me I had to pay out of my pocket for an attorney. (Also, my aunt's accountant didn't file her taxes correctly so the tax refund I was counting on was delayed.)

To date I've had zero communication from PJI which I haven't myself initiated. After pulling the money from my account, I paid them (in two parts) but never heard from them. I finally called, because they have, what $2500? They can call or email me. I was told the original lawyer no longer works with the firm. Whatever. I was told they had begun working.

I called today because there's been no update. I was told that the original lawyer Jared something, is in fact still with the firm. Fine, whatever. And apparently there's been a lot of work by the Case Manager on my case. With no update from anyone.

I hope I'm wrong about this - but I hung up today (again I called them, they didn't call me) feeling like I'm going to get a bill that's going to zap wipe out the $2500 and leave me with a balance; and I'll still need a lawyer. Again I hope I'm wrong. But I'm feeling some dissembling from them.

I really hope I can come back to this and say I was wrong and they were wonderful and top out the stars.

I received the reply from PJI after I received an email from someone in their office. Firstly, please note that nothing in my original review says anything about PJI not doing any billable work. Secondly, it was necessary for me reply to the email I received yesterday with additional information because apparently the emails I sent may not have been read? I'm not sure - my cousin says lawyers don't read anything clients send. But still, it feels like you're playing catch up. And the person who emailed me has an out of office auto-reply. Please note that when I'm not sure about a business I try to be fair about my reviews - which means I try to be very clear about my experiences and also what I say. Honestly, you're not bolstering my confidence in you.

04/11/2025 - Currently PJI is trying to get me to up the stars on the review. I explained to them that this is a work in progress - which I do when my instincts are giving me warnings; so that my review isn't colored by something I'm unable to quantify.

The lawyer has been ok so far. He explained that they didn't contact me for a couple of weeks because they were setting up my account. I did explain that doesn't seem to preclude a text, email, or quick voice message saying they'll be in touch.

I'm not impressed with staff. I had to tell the lawyer I hadn't been contacted as promised about an additional consult concerning my aunt's estate. I replied Wednesday - currently no response. And my phone call today (which I shouldn't have to make) was not encouraging. So at this point, no more stars.

PJI LAW provided great customer service during the entire process of setting up my Revocable Living Trust. They explained during the initial consultation what documents are required for setting up a Revocable Living Trust and created a plan that fits my particular situation and needs. They also offered several tier payment options. The entire process ran smoothly. I highly recommend PJI LAW if you are looking to learn how to create a Revocable Living Trust.

I hired this law office to file a straightforward mechanic’s lien. The attorney assigned to my case, Bret Giaimo, filed the lien incorrectly, making it legally useless and putting my claim at risk. During the process, Bret admitted that he was overwhelmed and had taken on more work than he could handle—which clearly impacted the quality of service I received.

After acknowledging the mistake, the firm offered a small discount, but still billed me for the service. I refused to pay for something that was done improperly. In response, they filed a lawsuit against me to collect the remaining balance. Eventually, they offered a minor settlement to close the case.

To me, it’s incredibly unprofessional for a firm that openly admits to being too busy to provide proper service, then chase a client over a $1,300 invoice—especially after delivering poor results. ( They still got paid over $7K) This experience was disappointing on many levels, and I would not recommend them to anyone needing reliable legal help, particularly in construction-related matters.

The PJI office manager in Richmond, VA reached out to me regarding our family's experience during a PJI Richmond Office consult that I briefly described in the post below. The office manager wanted to understand what when wrong during this consult that I described in my initial post. I later phoned the PJI office manager and we had a frank and respectful conversation. After hearing additional details of what happened... She apologized and agreed that things should have been handled differently. To make things right she offered our family the option of scheduling an additional consult with their lead estate attorney at no additional charge. I was impressed that the office manager took time to investigate what happened, take responsibility for the administrative mis-steps and take action to restore trust and confidence with us as clients.... In view of this I have updated my review of this firm.

Did a consult with the Richmond Office back in November to address some Estate Issues on behalf of my parents who are incapacitated. I wanted to allow all my siblings to participate so I asked the intake specialist to inform the attorneys that my brother in Richmond would be visiting the office in person while my sister and I would dial in on the phone. The PJI Intake specialist was very good and scheduled a 1-hour meeting for my siblings and me. I also prepaid for the 1 hour consult with the intake specialist.

The consult was a disaster. Before the meeting started.... the attorneys requested that my brother who visited the attorney's in their Richmond Office, pay upfront for the consult. Meanwhile my sister and I were on the dial-in phone line waiting for someone to show up. 15 minutes into our consult my brother gives me a call saying that the attorneys want payment up front. I informed my brother not to pay them because I had already taken care of this through the intake specialist. Roughly 20 minutes in, the attorneys show up on the conference call and introduce themselves. I laid our 2-3 issues that I wanted them to discuss. They didn't really respond to our issues, but later said we could begin working on these items if we paid them a retainer up front.

We went around in circles with the attorney's for about 40 minutes. Finally the lead attorney said that your hour is up. Let us know what you want us to do.We were not impressed. The PJI attorney's spent the first 20 minutes trying to get payment from us for our prepaid consult. Then they tell us our hour long consult is up after a 40 minute discussion that went around in circles.

Based on our experience with this Firm and these particular attorney's I would say don't waste your time.

This law firm is highly recommended for estate planning services. Their staff is knowledgeable, efficient, and incredibly helpful.
