An unfortunate mistake made at age 17 (charged as an adult) was haunting me as an adult. Jori worked with me to expunge my record. She was kind, patient and understanding. Since my expungement I have had great success academically and professionally. The peace of mind knowing I won’t be judged because of my past is priceless. Jori researched my charge to see if it could be sealed for starters and gave me instructions to help in the process. Extremely thorough and knows exactly what she is doing. Worth every single dollar she requested for her services. But, there's something way deeper to Jori. She really wants people to get a second chance in life and you can feel that in her conversations. It's not about money only with this attorney. She is serious about her craft. And since it was in Dupage county IL, she made it clear that in my situation (conviction I had), I must be reasonable in the possible conclusion. I followed her instructions to the T, and just yesterday she had a hearing with all my achievements while supervised release and other things.......
She won my case for sealment and here's the kicker........she took no credit! She said, "all credit goes to Judge Telander of DuPage County. Jason he studied the brief and that's the impressive thing of this judge. We gave our information, but this was all due to Judge Telander."
Humble, hard working, and provides the correct information/instructions on what you need to do in order to better your chances for the relief your seeking.
Let me end with this............because of Jori, I will able to get better paying jobs, and be able to support my family. Its depressing and extremely embarrassing when your struggle to care for your kids with 2 to 3 jobs in order to handle your life responsibilities (kids, bills, buying food). She cares about all of what I've just mentioned. And that's the person you need fighting for your second chance. If you are considering a lawyer, for expungement/ sealment within the state of ILLINOIS.......Jori is the attorney I would STRONGLY suggest.
