Poor representation of the case! There should be a ZERO stars option!!
Ms. Simons aggressively insulted and abused me verbally and mentally. After hiring her, she demonstrated vulgarity at its finest. As the time passed, her vulgarity increased. She showered me with a lot of painful insults, embarrassments and discomforts. She looked at me down, humiliated and insulted me. In different occasions she told me, in several occasions, aggressively to SHUT UP!
Ms. Simons took advantage that I was unable to work and that I could not work because of my surgery to humiliate and oppress me, when I emailed her that she had to be respectful and professional. She answered me, if I did not like the way she treated me, you could find another lawyer to represent you.
She used and she is still using what I shared with her, after hiring her, to humiliate me, ruin my image and reputation.
Ms. Simons is in collusion with the opposed party lawyers. She used to be super cheerful friendly with him and fulfilling all his demands and requests, even if it was not part of her role in my case, when I talk to her or I ask her anything from her, I get nothing but an angry frowning dismissing woman. When I asked her to meet in order to answer my questions that were unanswered in the past through emailing system, she ignored me completely. She was antagonistic with me and with my best interest. As if she was hired to be my ex-husband’s lawyer, supporting him against me, when I met with her or talked to her accidentally, at the court house, unfriendly aggressively vulgar shouting asking me to hide inside one of the empty rooms until I am called, she used to shower me with very aggressive and painful insults. All the times swearing and shouting asking me to shut up or to stay away from her or to hide until she was done talking with my ex-husband lawyer.
Ms. Simons’ fees were unreasonable. She added excessive service. She billed me for services that never been provided. When she billed me for services that never been provided, then how can I trust her for the services she billed me previously? Ms. Simons overcharged me and sent me bills for services never been provided.
Ms. Simons never answered my phone calls. 98% of my emails that contain my questions were ignored and/or not answered. I sent her countless emails that we have to meet but she ignored them completely. Whenever I met with her accidentally and asked her why you ignored my emails, questions, etc., she claimed and exclaimed that she never understood my written English!
Beginning of Jan. 2018 I started to realize that the trust and service that I hired her for was never achieved.
She never answered my phone calls. She never answered my questions in person and through the emailing system, but when I sent her a letter that she need to be professional and respectful copy attached, she started to answer some of my emails out of fear that she maybe reported if she continue to disrespect me.
She took advantage of me when I was sick, jobless, and alone so I will never think about hiring another lawyer and I will tolerate her nasty business and rudeness. She knew before hiring her that I will be having a surgery. I felt humiliated, oppressed and repressed. I was very vulnerable and this experience made me feel worse.
She always treated me badly shouting and swearing when we are alone, when I am with her at the court house.
She always had excuses for not answering my phone calls and my emails that she did not understand my written English. Also whenever she lied about something to put me in trouble, then she will say ohhhh, “you did not get what I said”.
On Feb. 2018 I handed her documents in front of the judge and she lost them when she left the room. Next to the photocopy machine, she shared with me a document asking me to read it and to sign it as well. I asked her some questions regarding that paper, she aggressively pull the paper from me and she yelled, “TELL ME THAT YOU DO NOT READ DAMN ENGLISH, I WILL READ IT FOR YOU.” Finally I fired her and reported her to ARDC!
