What an amazing experience! Felipe was so helpful and patient with us!
This law office has been helping our whole family since my mother and father migrated to this country in the 80s. It was very calming to know that the law office was always doing their part to make sure our case was up to date. Yes, immigration takes their time but we were very happy with the communication we had with Felipe.

UPDATED 4 Star Review! - Moments after my earlier calls with Ahlgren Law, I received a call and a follow up email from one of the owners of the firm to discuss the matter personally. Turns out I was right to be optimistic! Her immediate response is much appreciated. Although our matter has already been escalated to other relevant connections, I'll be happy to reconsider Ahlgren Law if anything falls through.

There was a degree of unprofessionalism I experienced on a call a few minutes ago, I assume the person I was speaking to was one of their customer service representatives. The representative sounded frustrated and pressed hard for answers to her questions. I was immediately put-off by this and did not feel safe to answer her questions due to the sensitive nature of the legal matter. I was so put-off that I had to double check and make sure the number calling me actually belonged to Ahlgren Law.
Since I did not follow the directions on the emails accordingly, I acknowledged my mistake, sincerely apologized, and offered to reschedule to ensure their legal team had ample time to review the information needed and so that our time can be well spent. We couldn't reschedule unfortunately due to my work schedule.
I was surprised by this. I was looking forward to meeting an attorney to help a loved one with a pressing issue. I believe that security is paramount when conducting legal matters such as this. When clients feel safe to disclose information through the appropriate channels, a trustworthy relationship can be built that enhances legal cooperation.
I was disappointed, but I'm optimistic that this was a rare incident. I understand that customer/client facing positions can be difficult (speaking from personal experience). However, I'm not sure if I'll reschedule.

In the beginning we hit a snag, the person we were originally working with was not very communicative and there was an issue with the original submission. After addressing our concerns, Emilia Q. took over my mom’s case and she was absolutely amazing! Emilia was very responsive throughout the entire process and made sure we understood everything. I am very please with the outcome of my case and I want to thank the staff at Robert D. Ahlgren and Associates. I was able to get my residency with their endless support and ability to answer my questions anytime I had them. When I went to Ciudad Juarez, there were many people that I met going through the same process. However, many were not prepared because their attorneys failed them. I worked with Kathleen Vannucci, Felipe Urquiza, and Sonia Gonzalez on a TPS (Temporary Protected Status) application. The process was fast and successful, we received a temporary work permit within weeks.

Everyone took the time to explain everything to us, sometimes more than once! And they were with us at every step of the way -- immigration matters can be very emotional and stressful. We were always reassured to try not to worry too much and take things one step at a time.

We trusted them and felt we were in good hands. Even if every outcome cannot be promised, we knew they were doing their best, being honest with us, and that we were in the right place.

We plan to work with them again on other immigration-related matters later this summer.

If you get a chance to go in person, the office tells the story: the walls are covered with large, beautiful framed family portraits, all clients who they have helped over the years.

We feel so fortunate to have found them and look forward to working with them again soon!
