We were recent customers of Wevorce. We worked with Colin who, appears to have provided us with good service. It is unclear whether the many problems we had with their service were his fault. He certainly had a very friendly and professional phone manner. Below I list some of the problems we had with Wevorce's service-
The excel spreadsheet they produced had a big error, an erroneous amount for one of our accounts. I was surprised by the error because we entered the correct amounts into their form online. It seems that the online information should be easily and accurately captured by Wevorce when producing the spreadsheet. Also, it was clear that whomever produced the spreadsheet did not pick up other details we had entered online.
The Marriage Settlement Agreement also contained errors, the most significant of which was an incorrect date for my birthdate.
The filing instructions provided by Wevorce seemed clear upon reading. However, when it came to actually filing, there was a clear disconnect between their instructions and what the clerk expected. Some simple adjustments to Wevorce’s description would likely resolve these discrepancies. I also found upon filing that the copies required were different than outlined in the Wevorce instructions.
The day we went to file our documents with the county we were challenged by their requirements and had no luck reaching anyone at Wevorce. We tried three Wevorce phones and received various messages including one that their office was closed, though it was during normal business hours. We then dropped by their downtown Boise office only to find a Treefort Festival event in full swing with no sign of anyone from Wevorce.
We shared these frustrations with Colin who said there was nothing he could do to make it up to us. We asked Wevorce to apologize and cover our filing fee of $200.
Below is the Wevorce response-
"I will be glad to forward your request for a refund, however, at the price we offer services, most of the work is done when you access the software and are encouraged to work together to reach agreement. The documents are something that we offer in addition to the time spent reviewing your entries and communicating with you to help guide you to agreement and ensure that you have taken all the steps needed to untangle the marriage agreements that the court reviews".
I was not surprised, now that many months have passed, that I still have yet to hear back from Wevorce. Below is my final message to Wevorce sent December 5, 2019-
We have certainly given you plenty of time to respond with the results of your forwarding our request for a refund. Of course, we have not heard back one way or another. If anyone at your firm could simply have taken responsibility and apologized it would have made such a difference. Refunding our $200 filing fee, as we requested, would have been a nice gesture too.
