Enjoyed working with the staff (Sean and Amber) at Gateville Law Firm. They are knowledgeable and understand the procedures regarding the sale of a home. I gave 4 stars instead of 5 as I thought there could have been more communication regarding delays on the closing on the sale of our house. There were a couple of delays because of the buyer's lender, not because of this law firm. The closing was completed, though.

This was my first experience dealing with a seller’s attorney and quite frankly it couldn’t have been a worse experience. The entire process felt as if I was dealing with an attorney opposing me versus someone going to help me sell my father’s estate. Communication levels were not good, I had to do majority of the follow ups contacting the assistant. She was nice but it felt as if at times the updates conflicted each other from the attorney and the assistant. Everything felt like it was going at a sloth’s pace. I made it very clear I was trying to get everything done by a certain timeframe if possible and I was okay with it going beyond that if there was ample communication. But I had to request my own payoff from the lender which only took 15 minutes, which led me to believe they were looking for an out of the deal because I was told it was difficult obtaining the payoff. I was told to pay the HOA fees versus asking how I wanted to approach that process when the reason I am selling the house is because of a financial situation. Just couldn’t be any more tone deaf and negligent of everything. The initial contract fell through because the buyer’s agent was not getting ample communication that there was any progress being made. Even when they wanted to cancel I received zero notice just a Docusign document in my email. I would not recommend this service to my worst enemy. If I could leave zero stars I would.
