David is a mediator's mediator. I was referred to him by a colleague for my personal divorce mediation, and he skillfully guided a process which truly transformed me, and my family dynamic. I have not experienced that type of transformation outside of therapy, but this wasn't therapy. It was a series of conversations with an almost infuriatingly neutral/calm third-party (David) that led my co-parent and me through lots of big feelings to full agreement on parenting time, division of assets, child support, and long term boundaries. More importantly, it led us into being back on the same team, working together for the good of our child - instead of adversaries emotionally throwing sand at each other across the beach.

The proof is in the pudding - during our most contentious times our daughter was burdened. Her teachers told us she seemed sad at school. No wonder. She lived in a thinly veiled war zone. Now I'm watching her thrive in both households. We attend her events together, verbally and tangibly support each other, and share occasional family vacations. She has a peaceful home. Now she skips to school and sings while she plays. Thank God we got here in time, before her childhood slipped away.

Anyway, David's a great mediator. Very competent. 10/10 would hire again.

If you're looking for a great divorce mediator, I highly recommend David Louis. He was extremely well-prepared and knowledgeable about the entire process. David laid out our options and explained the process in such a straightforward way that it made my divorce much easier than we ever expected.

David's demeanor struck the perfect balance between friendly and professional. He kept us focused on the items that mattered most to us, ensuring that our priorities stayed front and center throughout. One thing that really stood out was his flexibility—David was able to speed up or slow down the process based on what we needed at the time, which was incredibly helpful.

Highly recommended! David brings both technical and emotional competence to the process of mediation. He makes sure to explain all the available options when making decisions, as well as what the impact of those options might be. As a result, I felt that every decision we had to make was very well informed, whether it related to childcare or to finances. The process of mediation, by its very nature, is wrapped in emotion, and David does a great job of setting an even and positive tone from the start. He ensures that both parties feel heard and that both feel comfortable with the decisions that are arrived at. Communication was quick and easy throughout, I understood what to expect at every step of the process, and we were able to finish more quickly than I thought we would. Although our separation was fairly amicable, it did get "heated" once. David, with his calm demeaner was able to diffuse the situation, ask questions to clarify the miscommunication and get us back on track. We also had some delays due to health issues and David was patient and accommodating. His knowledge of the law and personal communication skills are amazing. I highly recommend his services.
