Newington Library is always looking for ways to modernize system with things like curbside pickup which existed BEFORE the pandemic. I've always had a good experience here, the staff is very welcoming and helpful.

It is the most beautiful and cozy library I have visited in the state of Connecticut. The original library structure is very old and preserved beautifully. The new structure is built around the old one leaving a gallery in the middle which has a glass ceiling and makes the inside look even more beautiful. The book collection itself is amazing. Almost all the books are new and in impeccable condition. They also have the special editions of most of the famous books. The staff is very sweet and kind.

Staff is very friendly and they have a great selection of material. I'm hoping they get a 3d printer like other local libraries have, but even without it, they are an amazing resource that our community can't do without. Thanks for everything you do!

The library is really quaint with an excellent selection of books and programs. The staff is lovely as well. The classes for kids are great- especially toddler class with Ms. Rebecca. We can’t say enough good things about her! Her class is engaging and my daughter absolutely loves it and Ms. Rebecca, too! Best library class ever!!

I can not say enough, good things about the childrens department and the childrens programming at this library. The librians and support staff and wonderful and truly caring people. My daughter and I enjoy our weekly visit and its not unusual for us to make multiple trips in the same week. Their story times and arts and crafts and wonderful and teach children in an exclusive and well rounded way. Love this library!!

Libary is nice for the most part but everything is poorly organized so messed up I have found adult 18+ books in the teens section. Can almost never find what I'm looking for to the point that I have to some times put the book on hold twice just so someone else can find it. Sure its nice, the people are nice for the most part but this place needs some serous elbow geese!

Love this library! Everyone who works here is always sweet and friendly, and the selection of books, video games, and dvds is great! I've been able to get seasons of many shows on DVD that I couldnt find streaming anywhere and didnt want to buy. And there's always so many events and activities going on, especially for the kids! My family and I come here weekly and enjoy every visit. There's even a little area when you walk into the library where you can buy yourself a cup of coffee or tea for just $1, and there's various book and media for sale going from 25 cents each for CD's to about $3 a blu ray. Its just so cozy and welcoming here!

We just moved to town and love this library! They have a fantastic children’s department - huge selection of picture books, toys for my toddler to play with, and a ton of story time/learning programs.
