I first reached out to Scott in December of 2021. My husband is a teacher and I had recently left teaching myself to become a small business owner. We wanted to meet with someone who truly understood teacher retirement and would help us to ensure we were strategizing our retirement plan, now that I would no longer be receiving a pension.

On the first call with Scott, I knew he was the exact person we were looking for. He was knowledgable with TRB (which everyone claims to be, but isn't) and offered me a ton of thoughtful feedback before we had even enlisted his services.

I told Scott that I wanted to walk away from the meeting with concrete, actionable steps to take to improve our retirement strategy. And that was exactly what he did! He ran our numbers, helped us to see where we could increase our investments and created three scenarios that we could implement. After our meeting, he emailed us a a detailed summary of our work together and has been available periodically for quick follow-up questions as we implemented our action plan.

Now, 12 months later, we went from investing 5% of our income to 50% of our income in a strategic way. With Scott's guidance in ONE meeting, we drastically changed our retirement strategy in the best way possible. I no longer lay awake in bed at night, wondering if we are doing the "right" thing with our money.

Meeting with Scott is the best decision we made in 2022 and I can not recommend working with him enough!
