Good morning,
Here is the re cap of the facts:
A colleague referred me to your firm to assist me with my mother's Social Security Medacaid.
You asked for $9500-which I paid the next day.
I gave you the name of a lawyer, who had helped me in the past....she does pro bono work for Holocaust survivors and their families.
You advised me to spend down my mother's funds in her bank account...effective immediately..even suggesting that I purchase a TV for myself and claim it was for my mother. Based on your poor advise, besides the money I paid you- I wasted an additional $6500 of my mother's money.
I followed your advise because I believed you were an experienced expert in Elder Law, and that was what I was paying you for.
I later learned that 100% of the reparation money from the German Government was exempt-you could not be bothered to research this...even a simple Google search would have given you that vital information that you missed!!!
I recognize that anyone could make a mistake, and clearly you did, however you never even acknowledged your error, or offer me a simple apology or compensation for the huge mistake you made.
A little humility and a sincere attempt to make things right would serve you better than suggesting I have a memory disorder. Your reputation of how you treat clients should be cherished, not strategized.
I will continue to document my communication with you on social media-let's stick to the facts and be fair to each other.
